outline of the Social area



Social psychology -
How thoughts, feelings and behaviours are influenced by actual, imagined or real presence of others and environment.

Social cognition - 
The process in which we store and apply information about others and social situations, e.g. stereotyping, helping, prejudice and aggression.

Assumption of social area - 
That others and our environment a major influences on human behaviour, thoughts and emotions.

Implication of social area - 
If we want someone to behave in a certain way, we should place them somewhere where they can witness others behaving in that way.
